Violet Heart Tomato

Violet Heart is a beautiful and harder-to-find heart-shaped cherry tomato, believed to have Eastern European roots. There isn’t a lot of documented history on this one, but it has been kept going and shared among seed savers and collectors.

The indeterminate plants are vigorous and very productive, producing clusters of small, elongated heart-shaped tomatoes around 15–30 grams each. The fruit ripens to a gorgeous deep red-violet color and has firm flesh with a sweet, fruity, rich flavor.

Around 75 days to maturity.

I really love the shape and coloring of this one. Violet Heart is different from your typical cherry tomato, and the heavy production, beautiful little hearts and sweet flavor make it an easy one to enjoy growing.
