Wild Bill’s Big Red is another old heirloom from the Wild Bill group and exactly what the name suggests—a good, big red beefsteak with classic tomato flavor.

The indeterminate, regular-leaf plants produce meaty red beefsteaks generally around 7–16 ounces, with some variation in size. The tomatoes are juicy with a really nice balance of sweetness and acidity and that old-fashioned red tomato flavor that’s hard to beat. (Bounty Hunter Seeds⁠)

This is a later-season variety and a great all-purpose tomato for big slices, sandwiches, fresh eating or canning.

Nothing fancy about this one—just a big, meaty red tomato with really good flavor. Sometimes those are the ones I like best.
