Ñora (Nora) Pepper

Ñora is a traditional Spanish heirloom pepper prized for its beautiful, round, flattened fruits and rich, sweet flavor! Widely grown in southeastern Spain, particularly around Murcia, this historic variety produces small, thick-fleshed peppers approximately 1–2 inches wide that resemble miniature red pumpkins. Fruits begin green and ripen to a gorgeous deep red with smooth, glossy skin.

Ñora peppers are especially treasured in Spanish cuisine for their rich, sweet, slightly earthy flavor. Traditionally dried and used to make flavorful paprika, they are an essential ingredient in many Spanish dishes, including romesco sauce, rice dishes, stews, and sofrito. They can also be roasted, rehydrated, or used fresh to add wonderful depth of flavor to your favorite recipes.

Plants are bushy, productive, and typically reach 18–30 inches tall, producing an abundance of beautiful, rounded peppers throughout the growing season. A fantastic heirloom for gardeners who appreciate traditional European varieties with exceptional culinary history!
